Deferred Save
If I have an activity that creates my work object and saves it without committing (and not checking write now) and then perform an obj-browse on the work table in the same activity shouldn't the obj-browse return a record for that newly created work object my like DB transactions work?

Does your "obj-browse" go to DB table to get the work object info? But if the save is not committed, then it's possible that nothing is saved in DB table.

When we run an obj-browse by passing an ObjClass, it runs the below query on the DB -
SELECT "pzPVStream" AS "pzPVStream" from data.tablename WHERE "pxObjClass" = ?
If the deferred save is used, the system adds this page to the set of deferred-write pages for the requestor, so it is not written immediately to the database.
Now if the item(Work object) is not present in the table, it will not be retrieved using Obj-Browse.
