Pega.Loader.exe - How to disable splash screen
Can anyone help answer the following? This is regarding Pega Robotics 19.1.11 with Sync Engine.
- Is there a way to disable the splash screen when launching Pega.Loader.exe? In our production 8.0 SP1 robotic runtime deployement, we are currently disabling the runtime splash screen in OpenSpan.Runtime.exe.config under <SplashScreen> and setting enabled value="false". As we continue to pilot 19.1, we are looking for a way to do the same.
- Is there a valid list of command line parameters for Pega.Loader.exe? There are a couple of parameters listed here (https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/pega-robotic-automation/what-startup-parameters-can-i-use-pega-robot-runtime). We confirmed that (--args Project="path") is not accurate and does not work for loading a project. We were able to get the correct parameter for loading a project (-d "path") from a Pega developer who was onsite recently. It would be nice to have a complete parameter list that is accurate if it exists.

To disable the splash screen on the Pega.Loader add --nosplash to the command line.
Here are a list of the other parameters available:
- -b (--basic) – this indicates that the basic product Pega Loader should be used. If this parameter is not included the Pega Loader loads the default setting for starting Runtime.
- -v (--version) – specifies the version to load. This overrides the version that the deployment package was created with which is the default if this parameter is not specified. This parameter may be a specific version number or may be ‘latest’.
- --noSplash – this parameter suppresses the splash screen.
- -e (--exe) – specifies the Pega application to launch. The path to the application is determined automatically based on the Product parameter.
- -p (--product) – specifies the product to launch. This may be one of the following: Runtime, Updater, NativeFoundation, RPAService.
- -d (--package) – specifies the deployment package to load. This is valid only for the Runtime product.
- --args – all text on the command line after the args parameter is passed as is into the launched executable. This can only be the last parameter on the command line.
So, if you are using the --args parameter to pass a project it would be --args /project={ProjectPath}.
