Pega RDA solution design
We have the planned the solution design as below
- User will start the runtime / load the package in runtime
- user will start the process from UI
- Automation will do the endless loop to check the file in a folder
- Based the file input the automation get starts and automation will send an email notification to usergroup post completion
How can we accomplish this in pega RDA model ?

I would use a FileSystemWatcher and wait for the file to show up or to change. With that you can make it event driven and your automation would do nothing the rest of the time.

Hi,
Based on your description this is more RPA than RDA, since there is no user initiated action and no user involvement is required. Anyway, you can set up endless loop or (preferable) initiate periodic checks of file content with Timer ticks and send e-mail with SMTP component or Outlook connector.
Are you having any particular issue in mind which you are not sure about?

Thanks Jeff for your suggestion , We will use the same in our solution design. Additionally the solution will create cases based on the inputs from the files and act as producer BOT , whereas the consumers are deployed as RPA. kindly review and revert if the producer solution can be deployed as RDA in local machine.
