Sorting not working in Repeating Grid with source as a page list

Sorting is not working while using pagelist as a source of Repeating Grid. For this, I have created a data page which call Connect Soap and in response data transform I am copying values from one page list to that D page.Now that D page has been referred to a Pagelist which copies the values to Pagelist, but when I am referring that pagelist in that grid the values are coming but sorting is not working.

What I have noticed Grid sorting depends on the clipboard sort API provided by the core-engine and currently that API does not support sorting of auto-populated properties.

Do any one has faced the same issue?
