How to add appenders to prlog4j2.xml to enable Json appender
Hello,
We are trying to enable ELK for Pega platform server. For this we need to add json appender to prlog4j2.xml. We can find this file only in Tomcat homedir webapps/prweb/WEB-INF/classes. But adding the appenders to prlog4j2.xml at this location is not taking changes at all. what is the correct location to add the appenders?

Hi looks like a location where you are making the changes is correct. You can also try the same by unzipping the prweb.jar file. and add the appender like

Do you have any sample appenders for Json output files? It is not writing anything when we add the appender in this location.

Did you only add the appender? You also have to send info from a logger (or the default root logger) to the appender.
for example, send the hazelcast cluster info to this logger:
<Logger name="com.hazelcast" additivity="false" level="info">
<AppenderRef ref="CLUSTER"/>
<AppenderRef ref="JSONAppender"/>
</Logger>
