Open a rule on model window
Hi ,
I have to open rule on new model window by clicking on rule name(link) in repeating grid. Please help with solution if anyone have idea.
I tried with open rule action item on click event . but its replacing current window not opening as new model window.

Hi,
1. If you have flow action, then configure the flow action on "Launch:Local Action". Provide the flow action in local action and select target as Modal Dialog. (Attachment : 1.1 and 1.2)
2. If you flow, configure the flow in "Flow in Modal Dialog". (Attachment: 2.1)

Hi,
Above approach will not work for my requirement.
My requirement is, when click on rule name link (like activity rule, property rule, Section rule) in a repeating grid that rule should be open on a new model window.

This detail of the requirement is clear. But what is not clear is how this translates to your business users. What business requirement are you trying to implement here by launching developer oriented rules in a user portal for your business users?

On click of link configure, launch local action and select as modal dialog.
1. In the pre processing activity of flow action, do the obj-open-by-handle of the rule you are trying to preview. You can get the inskey from your grid source page. Do obj-open-by-handle onto a page like RulePage or any page name.
2. In the Flowaction refer a section, in the section include another section with Name 'RuleFormLayout'. Load the included section using page and give the page name given in step1.
By this based on the page class, it will load the respective ruleformlayout and display the rule.
