Does JavaScript (Non-autogenerated rule) impact application speed or performance..?

Writing JavaScript code in one of the non-autogenarated rule to achieve simple UI configuration, I Feel that it wont impact any application load or performance.

Can anyone help me to understand this?

Hi,

It depends on the length and how you have written a function.

For example if you have written a query selector ,searching by name in the entire DOM then it will affect as there will be so many name attributes in your entire DOM.

But a simple function will not cause any performance issues.
