Removing the stars in validate
Hi! How can I remove the double stars on the error message?
I'm using the pega validation available on validate.

Hi Joyce,
The error messages available in the clipboard pages are being formatted before displaying in the pyCaseErrorSection and this formatting is happening from the Engine API. So i don't see any option to remove the ** characters from the error message display as it is being added at runtime of the display.

If the issue is for the custom error messages then you can avoid the ** by passing a message rule for error message field.
** will be appended to the error message when the message for error message is hardcoded and when the message rule for error message field is provided,** will not be appended.

I have the same problem but don't understand the proposed solution above. I am adding error messages in an edit validate rule
theProperty.addMessage("Emails do not match.");
The issue is that when the validation rule shows, it shows as **Emails do not match and I would like for the ** to not show.

UPDATE: Hello - I've found out how to get this to work. I created a message rule under Create > Technical > Message. Note that this only works if the message rule is created off of the @baseclass. Then inside my edit validate rule I was able to reference my message rule like this...
theProperty.addMessage("ErrorEmailFormatWrong");
ErrorEmailFormatWrong is the name of my message rule. It won't be referenced if @baseclass isn't used as the base of the rule. But I did @baseclass and now it is working for me and removing the ** from the beginning of the message in the validation.
