How to port the configurations in PRLOGGING.XML to prlog4j2.xml @PEGA7.3

Hi Team,

Starting with Pega 7.3, the Pega Platform uses the Apache Log4j 2 logging service and the logging configuration file has changed from prlogging.xml to prlog4j2.xml.

How to convert our PRLOGGING.XML settings to work in the PRLOG4J2.XML file. I do not believe that simply copying and pasting the setting will work.

Hi Pradeep,

Can you please check the 731 upgrade guide for this. The section 'Updating the log file description in web.xml to prlog4j2.xml' can explain this. Here I have attached the complete PDF.

Hi Venkat, Thank you for the details. But you haven't answered my question precisely. Let me rephrase my question. How to copy the content in prlogging.xml (from PRPC 7.2.2) to prlog4j2.xml (@PRPC 7.3)? Can a simple copy paste will work out ? If not, what can be done ?
