Attaching Network file Path as "URL" attachment

I have a requirement to attach File Path as attachment to Workobject. Please let me know if anyone has suggestions to implement this requirement. I am not able to attach URL with "file://" protocol (Only http, https, ftp and ftps are accepted).

I believe the OS (Windows or Linux?) where file resides matters in sharing the ftp url, however have you tried with 'file:///' ?

Hello Sudha,

If your file is in sharing location then try with this format '\hostname\shared_directory\filename.txt'
