Log the Validate Rule Error Messages
Hi Guys,
I have requirement of keeping a track of fields missing while user creating the case. I have validate rule for all the field validation.
Is there a way to track the failure validate message from validate rule, so that i can insert into a table and throw a report later.
Please let me know if any further information required, your help will highly appreciated

I can not think of any easy way out.
1. You can create one function and call that function before setting the error message.
2. Now this function should always return true irrespective of input as this is not doing and condition checking. It would only log the error message in the pega logs.
3. Take the error message as an input to the function and log that error along with user id in the log. And then return true:)

Hi Abhisek,
I think Pega doesn't provide any OOTB way to log validation failing. But if you are using Edit validate at the property level and calling them from validate rule then you can add oLog statement inside your edit validate to add failure message in log files. Also you can call a custom function to add these entries into a table as well.
