Increasing the KPI threshold

Hi, currently we are facing browser slowness in our application. There are lot of items we are noticing in pdc responsible mainly coming from OOTB activity. Thinking of increasing the KPI so that we can eliminate some of the items in pdc, but my question is does it at all improves performace to some extent?

Hi Amittutun,

KPI values are defined to give you a threshold for performance.  Increasing the KPI will prevent some alerts from showing up, but doesn't address the real problem behind the reason the KPI threshold was hit in the first place.  I would suggest you review the PDC information on the PDN, you can start here:  https://pdn.pega.com/how-use-autonomic-event-services-aes-enterprise-health-console

Reviewing the items alerted you can work with your application teams or DBA's to determine why say a query is taking a long time, etc.
