Data base Commit While pega has lock
Hi all,
I tried to update the record in the data base by using update query which is already open in Pega with lock, update query ran successfully without any error.
So we can update a record from database which has a lock entry in Pr_Sys_Locks.

I am not sure what the question is, please let us know what you are trying to accomplish.
What is the update query and which table are you updating? Kindly specify the Pega/PRPC version.

Hi,
To clarify, are you performing direct database actions (outside of Pega) on objects that have a lock on them from within Pega? If yes, I wouldn't expect the Pega lock to have any impact on whether or not the object could be explicitly updated via a direct database action. Per the below PDN article, a lock within Pega is separate from any locking mechanisms provided by the database:
