Configure Pega web Mashup in versions 7.2.x
I was reading a very detailed post on configuring pega web mashup using gateway console in pdn. However as I have known that with Pega 7.2.1 we dont need or rather it is not recommended to use the gateway for setting up gadgets in the mashups. .It can be done from the case type rule. My understanding is that we still would need to complete the following in the gateway console using the gateway servlet:
Host Configuration, Gateway set up. The only part which is now embedded inside the platform is the creation of the gadget and mashup code. This can be done using the case type.
If this is correct, then how do we achieve exposing an end user portal as a mashup? In this case do we still follow the older method of using the gateway console to embed the portal?

Hi AnoojitD, gateway is not required for Pega 7.2.1. once the gadget code is generated, please embed it in the host application. In web mashup, gadget would refer the pega url instead of gateway url. all gadget configuration that worked using gateway, will work in web mashup - https://pdn.pega.com/developing-composite-applications-pega-web-mashup
