How to hide withdrawn rules in Designer Studio
We did some old code clean up by withdraw all the used rules. But they still show up in the left navigation menu of Designer studio. Is there a way to hide all the withdrawn rules in Designer Studio?
Also, does it help improve performance to withdraw all the unwanted rules?

Hi Harry,
If i am correct by left navigation menu of Designer studio, you mean "App Explorer".
I have created an activity and then done a withdraw for this activity and after doing a refresh i cannot see it in the app explorer of the designer studio. I have tried this in 7.1.6. Please refer the attached screen-shot.
Could you provide the version where you are trying to do this.

We are using version 7.2.
Refresh doesn't help. We (all users) still see the withdrawn rule in App Explorer. When click on the rules, got message "Failure opening the Rule Instance"
See screen shot attached.

Hi Harry,
Can you just refresh the app explorer once and check.
Thanks.

Hi
I tried in 7.2.2 and can see that withdrawn rules are not getting displayed in app explorer.
Can you check the following :
1. Do you have a copy of the same rule in a higher ruleset version ?
2. The declare page responsible to show the data on app explorer is this Declare_AppExplorerData. Please check in clipboard whether it is having the right set of data or not.

1. We are promoting the unwanted rules to highest version and then withdraw them. So there are no higher versions.
2. Checked Declare_AppExplorerData, it contains all the rules, including withdrawn rules.

We are on 7.2.2 and we can see the withdrawn rules in App Explorer. The rule does not exist in higher ruleset version.

Hi Harry,
There was an enhancement request earlier as well to address the reported issue for Pega 7.1.5
This issue was proposed to be fixed going forward from Pega 7.2. Could you confirm your version in which you are facing this issue?
Regards,
Asif

Asif,
We are using 7.2.
Is there anything else that could impact this? Do we need to create an SR to resolve it?

Hi Harry,
I had a look into this requirement internally and I see that it is still under development. I suggest that you keep a watch over the relase notes of the future releases! I too will help keep a watch and update this thread if I get to know of any developments.

I guess this would depend on the ruleset where we are trying to withdraw. Even if we withdraw a rule in a ruleset version , it might be present in another ruleset .
