Export To Excel with Multi Select

Hi All,

I have a requirement to export only selected rows to excel from a list view (6.2 version).if i enable multi select, its not exporting only selected rows to excel  as per the  OOTB . anybody know how to achieve this?

Hi

Showing and selecting the data from list view and Export to excel are two different operations. Export to excel is an independent operation and will export all the data.

If you want to customize it then try forming your own page list via selected set of records and pass the page list info to ExportToExcel activity 

Another way is to use pxConvertResultsToCSV activity and pass the selected page list there. It will create a CSV file for you .

Thanks for the reply.

i have created the custom button and called the ExportToExcel activity. I just used @(Pega-RULES:Page).getXMLOfPage("pagelist") to get the xml and pass to activity. how can i manage the columns ? i am getting unwanted columns in the excel such as pxObjClass,pzStatus,REPEATINGTYPE,REPEATINGINDEX.

is there any otherway to pass the pagelist?

 

i am getting the attached error while opening but the data available.

Hi

The XML of the page will anyway contain these info as these are the basic page level data which are present in any page.

Any luck with pxConvertResultsToCSV activity ?
