Is there a way to uncompact the javascript source from PRPC?
Hi,
Is there a way to uncompact the javascript source from PRPC? I think it would be helpful for debugging if i can see that actualy function name instead of the compact'd name.

Since PRPC 6.3SP1 there is a OTB activity that can be used to toggle JS Compacting on and off. We asked for this so we didn't have to add the activity at client sites to disable the compacting. Also, the user you are working with does not need to have access to the developer portal to run the activity.
Activity: Data-Admin-Operator-ID.pzToggleJSCompacting
Parameter: Compact [Values: true(compacting on)/false (compacting off)]
This activity can be run from a browser URL directly. For example, once you have established a PRPC user session you can just change the top URL in the browser, example:
https://<Server:port>/prweb/PRServlet?pyActivity=Data-Admin-Operator-ID.pzToggleJSCompacting&Compact=false
The activity updates the current operators record and sets the "pyPreferences.pyGeneralPrefs.pyDisableJSCompacting" accordingly. You have to start a new session to see the JS compacting differences. (Same as the above example provided by Susan)
Once you are done debugging make sure you run the activity again with a Compact=true parameter to get the user you are testing with back to a normal state.

Chris - Can your answer be re-marked as the "correct" answer, please?
though note, the design of pzToggleJSCompacting is inverted.
In my (overtaxed) mind, I am thinking, the default is compacted, so if I want to do a toggle, that's a positive action, so I must enter true.
Obviously, 99% of the people who run this, read the instructions. :-)
