Ability to auto-save open forms?
We'd like to have some ability for auto-save on forms, in case the user closes the form without saving, or the system crashes. This is something that I'd asked about five years ago (and others have as well). Is this in the pipeline?
This would be great OOTB, though I could imagine that it's also possible to use browser plugins like Lazarus for this (it has Chrome and Firefox versions, but none for IE, and which is surprising given that IE 9 does support web storage). Has anyone tried these?

Here;s our JavaScript function for doing this. DirectSave is an activity we wrote to do a single-operation commit (a "Write Now" save) on a work object.
Perhaps this is supported OOTB in 7.2?

Any thoughts on this?
We could call jQuery's serialize(), for example to auto-save (and, naturally, extend the lock).
This also might be handy for another utility we need -- to submit the form prior to clicking through navigation tabs.

For session crash stuff(on server level), we have hazelcast implementation. Autosave, i dont feel is still available. May be someone in community might throw up more light on this.
