Hello Govardhan,
Currently you would have to do this by adding a custom stylesheet in the skin rule. The stylesheet (Rule-File-Text) would contain something like:
input:focus {
background-color: #ff0000
}

Thanks Ben. It would be nice if we can do that directly from Custom Styles of Skin (and also Custom Styles need to be rules so that multiple developers can concurrently work on Styling)
