Encryption on Fields
Hi Team, I have a requirement as below. Need to encrypt SSN property and generate a report (EXCEL). I tried giving the data type as "TextEncrypted " in property SSN. But when I refer it any section post submission of screen I see activity success status page. And I don't see the SSN property in work object when I open the class insances or when I did obj-open- by handle. Can some one suggest me a best methods to encrypt this

Hi Phani,
I tried this text encrypted option initially but in below link its mentioned that this cannot be used in production.
So could you please comment on this?Can I use text encrypted option in Prod?
And we generate reports (excel) with this encrypted fields so in that reports also it shd be encrypted so could u suggest me a approach.

The only thing we recommend changing in PROD is the algorithm used for encrypting properties. See this PDN article that has more details on using site specific cipher:

we've to write a custom logic may be referring to starting character to required length replacing it with either X || *. Configure this custom control to the property in section rule.
