Mobile vs. desktop architecture - Pega7
Our application is both for mobile and desktop.
There is a requirement to redesign one area of the application.
New design should be ONLY for desktop.
What would be the best practice to keep the design separately? And keep it easy to maintain in the future.
Separate ruleset?

I think circumstancing is a good option. You can circumstance it with the pxRequestor.pyIsMobile property

Hi,
In Pega 7 , If you use the latest UI Layouts and auto generated controls, then you can have only one design for both. As Santanu mentioned, you can have circumstanced rule, since mobile design would require only minimum set of changes (like: Converting the Text / button controls to icons in mobile. Eg. In OOTB Next Assignment link option in OOTB case manager portal is changed to '--->' icon, when accessed from mobile, refresh buttons to refresh icons etc.. )
