Steps to be take care after Email Account password been reset

Please advice me on this, let me know for any clarifications.

what are the steps we have to follow after the Email Account Receivers password has been reset?
what had been followed from our side:
1. Update password
2. Test Connectivity
Below is the error: This is the same error we had after the password had been expired.
Overall Result
Status - Fail:Configuration
Message - The server indicated that the authentication credentials for this Email Account are incorrect.
List of Steps
Step Result
Establish session for email server Success
Obtain store object Success
Connect to email server Fail
Disconnect Not attempted
3. Restart the Email Listener
Below is the error :
Start Listener Status
Listener 'Data-Admin-Connect-EmailListener:WebContactUs.Listener(com.pega.pegarules.integration.engine.internal.services.email.EmailListener)/9' failed to start because of the following error:
