I have downloaded the personal edition of pega 7 . Trying to install the app. When i select the port 5432 ,it is not taking.

I have downloaded the personal edition of pega 7 . Trying to install the app. When i select the port 5432 ,it is not taking. I have provided different port no. Then it installed successfully.But i am not able to launch the app.Please let me know how to resolve the issue

Please provide more details, e.g., the logs under tomcat directory. check catalina.out under tomcat logs directory and upload it for review.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your time .  Now i am able to log in into the personal edition after shutdown and startup process . There is slowness in the application  when i move aaround.

Is there any way to fine tune .. alocate more memory . So  that the application will be faster.

Check your jvm parameters like heapspace and permgen. Incase of tomcat it would present in setenv.bat/.sh file.
