XMLHTTPRequest not working for Firefox
I have a control that uses XMLHTTPRequest. It works fine but in Firefox nothing works .
It is as follows:

You're using a Microsoft Active X object for your AJAX call which is why this doesn't work in Firefox.
You should use XMLHttpRequest() instead which is supported in all modern browsers (including IE 7 and higher).

The httpRequestAsynch JS method encapsulates a good bit of this logic and is cross-browser compatible. You'll find the method in the httprequestscript.js text file rule.
Chad, httpRequestAsynch is IE only, perhaps you're thinking of pega.u.d.asyncRequest / pega.util.Connect.asyncRequest?

David, that may have been the case in 6.x, but I have successfully used the function in different browsers in multiple ML releases of Pega 7. The pega.util.Connect or pega.u.d. functions should work as well.

I am using Pega v6.2sp2 and I tried using XMLHttpRequest() but the open function doesnt work.
objXmlHttp.Open( "GET", oSafeURL.toURL(), false);
And I have found out that objXMLHttp.status and objXMLHttp.readystatus are both 0 always.

In that case, you'll want to use the pega.util.Connect.asyncRequest method as David mentioned. It will be consistent with the way PRPC handles AJAX calls elsewhere.
