java.net.UnknownHostException / ClientProtocolException - rest service
Hi All ,
If i use the domain name of the external system in endpoint url of the service , then connect-rest service throws a unknownhostexception error , but if i use ip address then it is throwing ClientProtocolException
Appreciate your help , if you know how to fix this

Thanks All , had to add external server domain name to the hosts file in pega app server .
now its working with the domain name .
not sure why with the ip address it was not working from pega , but was working from soap ui .

What is the result of a ping command from the operating system of the Pega server, when using the remote service's host name as the remote system to ping?
If this does not succeed, you could have a DNS issue.

Are you able to hit the service from SOAP UI when using the IP Address?
Also, as Jeff mentioned what is the result when trying to address the host directly from the Pega Server?
