How to use a property as an email address in Send Email.
How do I enter a property reference as the Email Address in the To: field on the Send Email smart shape's form? The lesson only covered using Parties, and that's not what the Notifying Users from Within a Process exercise wants. Help just states to use a "property reference", but the usual formats (.ManagerEmail, .Employee.ManagerEmail, or even <<.ManagerEmail>>) don't work, and I can't find a format in Help.

Dear Tom,
If you have created a Text property that holds the email address of the manager at .Employee.ManagerEmail, you can use ".Employee.ManagerEmail" in the "To:" field.
You just have to remember to initialise the value before you send the notification! Usually this is what most students forget to do, and so Send Email will ignore and not send out any mails.
Tip: You can use the pySetFieldDefaults data transform to configure a value for the .Employee.ManagerEmail property. Make sure it's a valid format, e.g. " Proprietary information hidden".

Hi,
you cannot just type in .object.property, you need to use the "add property" icon in order to add a property into your email template.
Note: you could try {.object.property} but you will miss formatting for instance.

In developing an application you are capturing an email address with the property. The property should be test field.Here there are two ways, if you are saving the data in the data table means you have to create page in the work class of refering the data class and the other thing is directly you will create a property in the work class to capture the data.Then in the email smart shape which of having the TO option as the test field, there you can directly give the name as if you refered a page means .pagename.property or if you created a property in work means directly give .property. it will refers to the text which enters into the property and will send the email.
Check entering the valid email address and the email account configuration is done properly or not. The important thing is by which mail you are sending the emails to others, that mail should make less secure through gmail.
