Validate Autocomplete against the source?
Is there an OOTB feature to validate user entered value in an auto complete against the source. Looks like people have already asked about it, not sure if this was ever taken forward - https://community.pega.com/node/251151.

Hello Rajat,
Thanks for posting your query on PSC.
Autocomplete(https://community.pega.com/sites/default/files/help_v721/procomhelpmain.htm) and Dropdown are different controls, and validation is achieved using Validate rule.
You can add your validation logic in an activity which is called from Auto Complete.

Thank you for your reply Rincy. I understand all this. The only thing I was trying to enquire about is - if there was already a planned enhancement to give an OOTB feature to validate the autocomplete entry against the source. I feel it will be a good feature to have. I have already done my validation through a validate rule. But it would have been nice to have an OOTB feature for that. But regardless I appreciate you taking out time to answer the question. :)

Have you looked at using the "Class Key Value" in the Table type for the property you want to validate?
