Unable to Edit in Excel for List View in Pega 7
I have a data table and when I open the records in the data table using the developer portal in Pega 6.3 SP1, I see an "Edit in Excel" button and when I click on it and Excel opens and I can add, update or delete records in the same. I am upgrading the application to Pega 7.1.7 but in this case when I open the records in the data table and click on "Edit In Excel" button then nothing happens. When I am trying to debug then I am getting the below error "Line: 1
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method". Please reply.

Are you on IE11 or IE10? If so you may be running accross a known issue that was fixed in subsequent MLs. One way to check is to open developer tools (F12) and check the document mode of the page. It should be using IE9 emulation. If it is not, then you are likely running accross the known issue.

In witch case, try running IE in compatibility mode for the site.

Do you happen to have an older version of IE you can try it on? Just to confirm it is an issue with this feature in the IE 10/11 browsers?

Thank you very much DUTTPRASAD for a solution, that worked also in our case.
For one of the projects, my team have encountered similar issues between PEGA application view and Excel program (2010 version in our case) and when we are clicking on the "Edit in Excel" button, we are presented with an opened blank excell document with no white background, but the grayed out.
It turns out, that in fact by enabling the IE in Administrator mode allowed the Excel program to open requested data properly now. Still curiously we have one window opened with grayed out background as PEGA application is still trying to run this integration with normal user which must have insufficient privileges.
Hope that this solution will also work for any future cases of you all.
