Setting the Worklist as the default landing page when user swiches portal.

When user switches between different application the worklist should always be the default landing page. Where can we configure this default landing page. The application consists of four tabs in the left navigation pane and user can choose to switch the application from any  one of these tab. When the new application is launched it should take him to the worklist instead of the tab he was working in the previous application.Where do we configure the default landing page for an application.
