Payroll Setup SubCase
I'm currently in the lesson of Case LifeCycle Management, and doing this exercise for implementing the Payrol Setup Subcase.
Indeed this Subcase works as a kind of standalone application/case, however I'm wondering why this Subcase is not being triggered within the Top Case Onboarding, while the configuration is indicated as such, meaning:
On the SubCase Payroll Setup I've indicated that this case should start "upon completion or skip of previous step" This previous step is also a subcase - which does executes - Benefits Enrollment.
Why is Payroll Setup not being executed - within this part of the course - once introduced an Onboarding Case ?

Your thinking is correct, but both subcases should be configured to start "upon stage entry." That is how the original exercise was written.
I don't have the exercise guide in front of me, but I will confirm its content directly.

Thanks already for confirming this, however this does not yet explain why the SubCase Payroll Setup, is not being launched directly ?
What is the actual reasn of this ?
