"Open Exercise System" link not appearing in SAE1 course

I accessed my SAE1 self-study course this morning but there is no "Open Exercise System" link appearing on any of the exercise pages. Does anyone know why?

UPDATE: The link is now appearing again ... BUT all my progress has been lost and the exercise system seems to have reset to its initial state. I make sure I access the exercise system every week via the proper link in the course in order to avoid just such a reset, so why has this happened? I guess it will serve as revision doing it all again, but it is still annoying :(

I am not able to access "Open Excercise System" since today morning. The link has not been showing in any "Excercises" page. Can anyone help?
