Image on accordion or tab
Is there a way to add a icon or image to an accordion header or tab?
I don't mean the expand or collapse icon, I mean add an additional image to the right. E.g.:
[expand/collapse icon] [Title] [image]

Also, can someone explain the difference between adding a Layout Group and setting the Display Type to "Accordion", versus adding a Accordion from the layout menu?

Hi,
1/ there is a small square next to the title of the tab or accordion layout, you drag/drop an icon/image there and use it.
It is not there for a Layout Group
2/ I think Tab and Accordion are there for backward compatibility.

I don't see the square.
If I add a Layout Group (1), set Format=Accordian
Then add a dynamic layout inside this Layout Group (1.1), it allows me to set a "Title" property for this Layout in the container settings, but only as a Text, Property or Fieldset. There does not appear to be a small square anywhere.
Now if I nest another dynamic layout inside 1.1, then a "Header Type" is visible in the container settings, which I can set to Bar, and then a small square does appear to the right. However, this nested layout does not control the appearance of the accordion control.
Any other suggestions?

Hi,
I was talking about the Tab and Accordion layout not the group layout.
That said, you can still do something like this:
Title = Title<img src="https://www.google.co.uk/images/branding/product/ico/googleg_lodp.ico"/>
You will end up with something like this: Title
Not sure it follows best practice

Thanks.
When implementing an accordion, what is the best practice?
Should we use the Layout Group with display type set to "Accordion"
Or should we use the Accordion from the Layout menu?
The help files just list the first one under "Harness and section forms" while the second one is listed under "Harness" forms. Not sure what the difference is or why I would choose one over the other.

Hi,
Not sure, I would say: Layout group is new and hence should be used compared to the 2 other which are there for compatibility.
I was referring to best practices in a sense of adding HTML code in a label is academically not ideal.

Using a Layout Group, I am able to set a setting in the skin that allows me to keep multiple sections open (Allow opening of multiple panes).
Do you know if there is a way to do that with the old Accordion Layout?

I can't remember, will double-check that next week.
