Background:
In 2018, with the release of Pega 8.1, we announced our shift from hotfixes to Patch Releases. The patch release program approach allows us to bundle, test, & release bug and security fixes over a given period into a cumulative patch that will be made available to all clients. This new process provides value to your business through improved overall quality and better dependency management. Look for a new cumulative patch release to be made available every month.

@PhilipShannon Thank you Phill, the only question I have is, 8.8.5 Patch is released on 15th May 2024, shouldn't that go through 18 Months of Standard Support plus 18 Months of Extended Support?

@SUMAN_GUMUDAVELLY I think that the standard support just ended, and then it has started the 18 month extended support which should last until sometime in November 2025. The Oct 2025 shown on the page will probably be updated soon to indicate the full 18 months

@PhilipShannon I guess I'm not doing good job in asking my question. Let me retry:
When Pega calculating the dates for End of Life for a given version, will it calculate the
End Of Life Cycle - Release Date of each version = 36 Months [18 Standard + 18 Extended Months]
or
End Of Life Cycle - Release Date of Major version = 36 Months [18 Standard + 18 Extended Months]
In my above example, Pega's 5th Patch version for 8.8 i.e., 8.8.5 [Final Patch] is realsed on 15th May and what will the End of Life Date for Release 8.8.5.

The Extended Policy page is still showing that 8.8 is In Extended support through October 30, 2025
