External v\s Internal Classes
Hi Team
Can I get the difference between Internal and External Classes. ? How these classes relates to internal DB called PEGARULES DB.
Different between internal and External Databases.

Hi Sreedhar,
Internal classes/tables will have pzInsKey and pzPVStream (BLOB).
External Classes/tables are regular class/tables without pzInsKey and pzPVStream(BLOB).
Internal Database: The database where Pega Rules schema and Data Schema (In pega 7) are present. Any other Database other than this (If you have DB connection) are called as External Database.

An external class is a concrete class (instance of the Rule-Obj-Class rule type) that corresponds to a table in an external relational database, rather than to a table or view in the PegaRULES database. No inheritance or rule resolution applies to external classes, even if the class name contains a dash character. Each external class has an associated database table instance (Data-Admin-DB-Table class) and so cannot be part of a class group.
The internal class contains pzInsKey and pzObjClass but external class will not have.
