Data Page Loading Activity and temporary page
Hi,
I am using Pega 7.1. I have a node level data page with parameter that is used in very high volume. The DP is loaded using an activity and inside the activity, I create a temp page to manipulate the data and eventually copy into the data page. Since the system is very high volume, if there are two instance of the same data page being loaded at the same time, will there be collision because they are using the same temp page?

Correct. I am worry about at the same moment, two events happen at the same time to use the data page but with two different parameters. Since we use same temp page, I am worry in that short time frame, there will be data get crossed.

Yes, I do a Page-Remove at the end of loading activity.
The temp page is created in the loading activity when I invoke the Retrieve report def activity.

Really dont think so that you should be worried about it.
Also you can explore the option of using "Post Load Processing" activity to do any manipulation of data.

May be as last reply- the instance of Data pages are differentiated by parameter value. If DP users [ may be two or many] passes same parameter while loading data page, all will be severed same instance of DP. only if calles pass different parameters PEGA will create different DP instannces and allocate the. so there no way that two more more DP will be instanciated by PEGA. This is one of the feature of DP that system handles the creation sharing of pages.
