Calling web services between two Pega Cloud applications
Question: Is it possible for Pega applications deployed on Pega Cloud at separate physical locations to communicate using SOAP?
Scenario:
Application1 is deployed on a Pega cloud instance located in the AWS datacenter in United States.
Application2 is deployed on a Pega cloud instance located in the AWS datacenter in Japan.
Can Application2 call the SOAP web services proved by Application1?
Solution:
- Pega Cloud provides the ability to deploy applications in multiple regions but each region will be a separate deployment. Each Pega Cloud deployment is completely separated and will be equivalent to a Cloud Hosting deal with minimum costs.
If we deploy one Pega Cloud instance in the US and also deploy a Pega Cloud instance in Japan, you can can integrate the systems through VPN and Services/Connectors but please be aware that there is a large cost associated.
Pega Cloud does not support Federated Case Management (FCM) and split schema between geographies. Please consider this before designing the architecture of the solution.
