Automating Mainframe applications using Pega RPA
Hi,
We are trying to automate Mainframe applications using Pega RPA. We are using HostonDemand.exe to capture the text. I have added one Windows application and in the PATH, I have mentioned HostOnDemand.Exe. When i click on "Start interrogation", HostOnDemand is started but Interrogation is stopped immediately.

Hi - We are facing issue in interrogating file list in Mainframe. Few screens are having navigation options. Also, the order of the expected rows may vary depends on the file list. So, can you please help me to figure out/interrogate the expected row from Mainframe screen?

Screenshots may be helpful, however, if you would like to interrogate a row, I'd suggest referencing this link to build your table: http://help.openspan.com/52/HTML_Table_Designer/HTML_Table_Designer.htm. If the row will be dynamic, you can select it based off of it's index. You can reference the image below. Once you interrogate the entire table, you can extract specific elements from the table. It depends on how you call them. In the image below, I am pulling the ids from specific items in the row and once I pull that specific ID because the nav url that I need is www.someurl.com=id, all I have to do is then use a concat nod of "www.someurl.com=" & the specific id that I pulled from the row that was interrogated. I hope that this helps.
Does the Robotics Studio throw an error when it stops the interrogation or are you able to see any errors in the log files? Is the .exe file available locally, if you tried to open it manually does it open normally? It may be how you set the path for the application file. Could you attach a screenshot of that from the properties window? The path typically should include the entire location so if it were on your desktop the path would look like "C:\Users\username\Desktop\hostondemand.exe" or whatever the exact path property is of that application
