Fixed issues with update impact
Symptoms and Impact
In Pega Platform '24.1.5, the rules update can fail during the Context Update step. Logs show that pzQueueProcessRuleForGuardrails fails to trigger due to insufficient authentication.
All direct upgrades to Pega Platform '24.1.5 from Pega Platform version 7.1.10 or earlier will fail on this step. There is a small risk of failure when updating from other source versions earlier than 24.1.0.
Note: The issue does not occur when the Pega Platform source version is between 24.1.0 and 24.1.4.
The issue is only present when updating to 24.1.5 and is not present when updating to 24.2 or higher.
Solution
Update to a later release such as Pega Platform '26.1.
Note: The Pega Platform '24.1 series is already in extended support.
If an update to the latest Pega Platform '25.1 or '26.1 is not possible, you can perform a direct update to 24.1.4 first and following that you can carry out a patch update to 24.1.5.
