Hi,
We are using DataSet-Execute to publish message to kafka topic the message is having pxObjClass. Is this expected?
We are also facing similar issue, and don't need pxObjClass and pxUpdateDateTime from JSON/Message in Dataset-Execute method and Kafka as it's creating issue for Kafka data consumers.
Anyone has any solution?
Hi Team, can some from pega can help on this question. Its a common question for everyone, request to respond on this post.
In the latest 8.3, 8.4 , 8.5 patch releases, there is an ability to use a JSON Data transform to serialize/deserialize the Kafka message values. JSON Data transform has capability to ignore certain properties , add only certain properties etc. You can configure the JSON Data transform to ignore the pxobjclass and pxUpdatedatetime. This will ensure that these properties are not written to the Kafka topic.
Hi Nithin,
Can you let us know how this JSON data transform output can be passed to the Data-Set-Execute method? This method will send the step page data into the Kafka Data Set which in turn will send the parsed JSON string to the Kafka topic. Since it does not take JSON string as a parameter all we can do is to pass the step page for this method right?
We are using Pega 8.5 and appreciate a response on this.
Thanks,
Jinath
