Why does pega not suggest writing of custom code?
Why does pega not suggest writing of custom code? I have seen sources say security vulnerabilties and maintainability issues but cannot properly understand the issue in writing custom code. Pls help

If the same feature provided by the pega what is the need of writing the custom code. Pega did maintain the standards like coding and security, compatability to provide a feature.
Customization is not recommended if a same ootb feature is provided by pega.
You are good to write the custom code which works at this moment. But it might be hard for devlopers to understand the custom code.

@P.Siva.Praveen Thanks but when I want to add something that is not ootb, I would like to know what is the practice generally followed.
I'd like to know why adding something not ootb is not preferred
