What is TYPE_AMOUNT ?

I found TYPE_AMOUNT in the following article.

What is TYPE_AMOUNT ?
I cannot create TYPE_AMOUNT Property from Pega Dev Studio. And, I can create other type properties (For example, TYPE_DOUBLE, TYPE_DECIMAL).
I cannot find the official document pega provides about TYPE_AMOUNT. And, I want to know about TYPE_AMOUNT.
