Verifying concurrent sessions settings in 6.1 and 7.1.8

I've seen documentation for 8.3 entitled "Specifying the number of concurrent sessions". I don't see the same option in 6.1 and 7.1.8 on the System screens, however I do see the node in both XMLs as <pyConcurrentSessions>unlimited</pyConcurrentSessions>.

Question 1: Is this the same setting?

Question 2: Does this mean an Operator ID can be used to open an unlimited number of separate, independent sessions in 6.1 and 7.1.8? If Yes, are there any limitations or drawbacks to doing so?
