Validate Activity for Out of the box Availability functionality in pega
The activity “Validate” (Which is out of the box and final and is used for validating dates for the "Availability functionality" )on step no. 28 is calling the class “Data-Admin-UnavailablePeriod” but when we run the tracer the page “pyUnavailablePeriod” is showing the class “Embed-Data-Admin-UnavailablePeriod” instead of “Data-Admin-UnavailablePeriod”.
When this activity is run the step no. 28 gets skipped and step 29 gets executed , but when I remove the class"Data-Admin-UnavailablePeriod" in the loop
and run the activity the step no. 28 gets executed and the validation for the "To Date" being less then the "From Date" happens.
Please let me know the below:
1) Can i remove the class and make the activity "Validate" avaliable instead of "Final" in order to make the date comparision work?
2) Is there any other way of making the step no. 28 execute without removing the class and making the activity to "Avaliable"

Which version are you on ? I just tried to set to date less than from date in my 7.2.1 opertaor id and it correctly thrown the validaiton

Refer the attached tracer snippet. I see the class referred is Data-Admin-UnavailablePeriod.
I agree with Santanu's observation. My observation is from Pega 7.1.8.

I am still facing the issue of the validation not being called.
If I remove the class "Data-Admin-Available period" in my private edit it works but i cannot remove it outside of private edit as its a final activity :"Validate"

Please see screenshot from 7.1.7. Class name is "Data-Admin-UnavailablePeriod". I tried adding wrong dates in my operator id form and save. By any change, are you trying to perform this process programatically?
