Good afternoon, how do I develop a model with a designer from scratch, like a designer of a digital bank?
@BrendaR61 are you asking about design templates? This question may help you further.
When working with an external designer it is crucial to understand how Pega's two design systems work. The older UI-KIT design system and/or the newer Cosmos design system.
Assuming you are working on Cosmos, I would proceed to educate the designer on Cosmos. All the UX patterns and individual components are on https://design.pega.com/ We have also provided assets such as Sketch files with design tokens and symbols to help external designers "Design with Pega" in mind.
Each design should be verified for feasibility and should not change the fundaments of the Cosmos design system. Specific design templates can be created to suit very specific but reusable UI.
@BrendaR61 Hi Brenda! What version of the product is the designer working with? We have several design systems for building new applications from scratch, but you should ensure you are working with the right version of the product by reviewing these guidelines for selecting the right design system for your use cases based on the current capabilities and limitations of each version.
If you want to learn about the principles of designing a new application from scratch, with either Cosmos React (the latest version built for 8.7+), or Theme Cosmos (8.6+), you can have the designer take our Academy course on Pega design principles. Currently, that course is about front-end design only and applies to both versions of the design system.
For information on how to configure applications on Cosmos React (8.7), see this module. For configuring applications using Theme Cosmos, see this mission.
I hope that information helps. If you respond with more specific information on what version of Pega you are building with, I will be happy to guide you to additional resources.
