Using global control parameters

Hi,

We possibly want to implement global control parameters in Pega Decision Management 7.2 and have some questions on this. Via the training "Adapting to business trends using global control parameters" it is clearly shown how to set Global Control Parameters. Question that we have is if these parameters can be updated in realtime or if we have to follow the revision management process for this GCP decision data item (in which case time passes before going live).

Additional question is if we can update these in realtime via an external upload into Pega.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Hi,

The global control parameters are intended for business users can be changed on the fly.

I don't believe we expose a mechanism to update them via external upload. You can of course try an activity.

Alternatively you could create a custom form to include an import button.
