Is Unix/ Linux v8 supported pega 7.1.9 platform?

Hi team, Please let us know if Pega 7.1.9 works on Linux(redhat)/Unix version 8? Also is it also work in JVM version 8? We want to move our application from Pega 6 platform in Linux 6 to Pega 8 platform with Linux 8. Please suggest. Thanks, Prasenjit
