Dear all,

we are about to upgrade our application that is based on both, Pega Platform 7.2.1 and Pega Smart Investigate for Payments 7.11 to Pega Platform / SI Infinity 23.

We just realized we consider the available online help and documentation confusing. After providing all required details in Stay current with Pega | Pega, the page provides two links: One leads to the current (I23) Platform Update area, the second one refers to Pega Platform 8.7 Update Guide (MS SQL / Tomcat).

The issue is that the steps provided by the two sources differ from each other. One arbitrary example is step "Updating from Pega Platforms version 8.2 or earlier: batch generating works IDs" which is mentioned in the 8.7 Update Guide but not available in the I23 Update area.

One additional note is that the 8.7 Update Guide itself does not include all steps that were mentioned in prior Upgrade Guides, such as 8.5.

Can we assume the current I23 Platform update area is complete / consistent and mentions all steps we need to consider to update succesfully to the latest release?
