Unable to use Sub-Report or Class join in RD while invoking through API Call (pxRetreiveSearchData)

Currently we are using PEGA 8.4.2v and we are not able to use Sub-Report or Class join in RD while invoking through API Call (pxRetreiveSearchData). May I know whether this is working in any PEGA latest version. If yes, kindly request you to help me with the PEGA version in which fix is provided. Thank you.

Hi Geeta,

Pega Search data does not support joins and hence why pxRetrieveSearchData API is ignoring such configuration in report definition. Currently available solutions to this problem are:

  • De-normalize data while saving it (e.g.: pre-join required properties to base class)
  • Run multiple queries and join data during search execution
