Unable to Submit modal window in single click

Hi,

I have a modal window with an email field. This field has an on change event with a post value action. If the user does not tab out they need to click Submit twice to close the modal window.

I assume this is expected as per https://community.pega.com/support/support-articles/unable-submit-form-single-click-submit-button, but that is not giving a good user experience to the end users.

Has anyone faced this before?
