Unable to restart the Server as Database connection is failing
When trying to start the Tomcat server getting the following exception even with correct DB credentials. The version we are using is 7.2.1 Enterprise Edition with Tomcat and Oracle as software stack.
Any help to address the issue would be highly appreciated.

Thank you for responding to the query posted. The issue has been now addressed with help from Pega Support team. The documentation on the instalation procedure was incorrect and the failure was happening because of access issues.
Had to provide the same privliges as admin user to base user as well for the installation to happen successfully.

This environment was working previously and all you did was update the url in the context.xml file is that correct?
Using the url and the username/password specified in the context.xml file can you successfully connect to the database using sqlplus or some other tool and run this query:
select distinct pzcodesetversion from pr_engineclasses;

Were synonyms added to other schemas in the database? There is a known issue with the Oracle JDBC driver when the DB user has privileges to multiple schemas and synonyms are in use. This can lead to the wrong metadata being returned.

These are the areas I'll be looking at:
Making sure the Driver Compatibility
Test Connection to the Pgea Database from the App Server
Name Bindings Specified at Server level rather than App Level
Pega Code set version etc.,
